Description
Deltastatic is a hi-fi unit by Schroers & Schroers, made of glass to house the components of an audio system. Its structure highlights the lines of the glass and allows equipment to be positioned on independent shelves.
The unit is available in clear or matt glass, 10 mm thick. Each shelf supports a load of 50 kg, allowing heavy equipment such as an amplifier or a turntable to be installed without risk to the structure. The shelves are height-adjustable over a range of ± 50 mm, allowing the spacing to be adapted according to the size of the equipment. The circular feet are also height-adjustable, allowing the unit to be levelled according to the floor.
A lighting system is available as an option for this model. It highlights the bevelled glass edges, creating a diffuse illumination around the equipment placed on the shelves.

What to check before buying used
The bevelled glass edges deserve close inspection: even a slight knock can leave a chip or micro-crack that is difficult to spot on a clear finish. The inserts and fixing screws for the shelves, which bear heavy loads such as an amplifier or a turntable, should be checked to ensure they still hold firmly in the glass. The adjustable circular feet should slide without excessive play to ensure the unit is properly level. If the optional lighting is fitted, it is worth testing that it switches on and checking the condition of the wiring located beneath the shelves.
