Description
The TecnoArm 2 is a tonearm designed to equip a turntable as a replacement for, or in addition to, an original tonearm, provided a compatible armboard is available (not included). It is aimed at the enthusiast wishing to upgrade their vinyl playback chain with a component designed specifically for audiophile reproduction.
The arm tube is a bespoke monobloc, sandblasted to act on its sonic signature and drilled with twenty-two holes on its underside to reduce its mass. The underside of the integrated headshell is machined to remain perfectly parallel to the bearing position, a point that governs cartridge stability over time. The assembly relies on very low-friction polymer bearings, mounted on a redesigned mounting base, which limits friction losses during groove tracking.
The wiring uses an exclusive Litz wire loom made of 99.9999% pure silver, covering the entire electrical path from the cartridge tags to the phono plugs, with no internal wiring joint. This conductor continuity aims to preserve the signal from the cartridge throughout its journey.
Tracking force adjustment is done via the TecnoWeight counterweight, designed to accommodate different cartridges. A VTA/SRA adjustment mechanism also allows the arm height to be adjusted, so the stylus follows the vinyl groove at the angle appropriate to the fitted cartridge.

What to check before buying used
Check the parallelism between the underside of the headshell and the bearing: an impact or a poorly executed previous installation may have misaligned this setting, which is difficult to correct once the arm is in place. Examine the condition of the polymer bearings, which must retain virtually no play to ensure precise groove tracking. Also check the silver Litz wiring along its entire length, from the headshell to the phono plugs, for any break or resoldering that would degrade the signal. Finally, ensure you have an armboard compatible with your turntable, as this arm cannot be installed without this element.
