Atoll electronique Mini Series

The Mini Series from Atoll electronique is not a single unit but a family of compact-format components, designed to be stacked or aligned side by side. It comprises four references: the MA-100 power amplifier, the HD-120 preamplifier which incorporates a digital converter and a headphone amplifier, the MS-120 network player and the MD100 CD player. The set thus recreates, within a modest footprint, a complete separates architecture.

The principle is one of function separation. The MA-100 is dedicated solely to power amplification and drives the speakers. The HD-120 brings together source switching, digital-to-analogue conversion and headphone output, allowing private listening without going through the speakers. The MS-120 provides access to files and streams travelling over the network, whilst the MD100 retains disc playback. As each component has its own power supply and its own chassis, interactions between stages are reduced.

This modular approach suits listeners who want the logic of separates without the bulk of a conventional rack: a small living room, an office, a secondary listening room or a set-up where the furniture imposes width constraints. It also appeals to those who prefer to build up gradually, starting with two components and adding to them later. The finish is available in black or silver, allowing all four units to be matched.
