The Mission QX1 is a compact 2-way bookshelf speaker, designed to fit into limited spaces without sacrificing sound precision. What to check before buying used
Check the flexibility of the 135 mm woofer's suspension: a stiff, sagging cone, or one that produces a dull sound when lightly pressed, indicates ageing of the foam or spider. Inspect the Ring Dome tweeter's textile dome, which is prone to deformation and fingerprint marks. Also examine the cabinet (corners, veneer, condition of the ports) and make sure both speakers in the pair show consistent output and sensitivity, with no crackling at high volume.
