The Mordaunt-Short Mezzo 1 is a bookshelf speaker with a 2-way configuration, fitted with a bass-reflex loading. It is aimed at those seeking a compact format without giving up careful sound reproduction, with a reduced footprint suited to smaller spaces or cabinet installations.
The 13 cm bass-midrange driver uses a CPC aluminium cone, a material valued for its rigidity which limits cone flexing and promotes precise reproduction of midrange and bass frequencies. The 25 mm aluminium dome tweeter incorporates ATT technology, a design inherited from the brand's Performance series, intended to refine treble rendering. The bass-reflex loading, with its rear port, allows for greater bass extension compared with a sealed enclosure of equivalent volume.

What to check before buying used
