Description
The Musical Fidelity M6si is a stereo integrated amplifier that succeeds the M6i, with a revised internal architecture and enhanced connectivity. It combines in a single chassis a preamplification function and power stages, while also incorporating a digital-to-analogue conversion circuit, allowing a digital source to be connected directly without the need for a separate DAC.
Its design is based on a preamplification stage entirely separate from the power blocks, an arrangement that limits interaction between circuits and aims to preserve the stability of the audio signal. The unit incorporates a 24-bit / 96 kHz digital-to-analogue conversion circuit paired with an asynchronous USB port, allowing a computer or digital source to be connected while maintaining precise management of the signal clock. On the power side, the amplifier is rated at 2x220 Watts into 8 Ohms, a level that in theory allows it to drive current-hungry speakers.
