The Musical Fidelity V90-LPS is a phono preamplifier designed to act as an interface between a turntable and a hi-fi amplifier. It amplifies and equalises the signal from the cartridge so that it can be used by a standard line input, aiming for a faithful reproduction of the sound cut into the record.
