The NAD C 700 is an integrated streaming amplifier, designed to work directly with speakers without additional amplification. It features a network module based on the BluOS platform, with built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet, allowing playback to be controlled from a dedicated app on smartphone, tablet, PC or Mac.
Its power section is based on a HybridDigital UcD output stage, a design known for its low noise and low distortion across the entire audio band, regardless of the load presented by the connected speakers. The technical specifications indicate a power output of 2x 100 W RMS into 4 ohms, harmonic distortion below 0.04% across the 20 Hz to 20 kHz band, a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 84 dB and a damping factor greater than 90 into 8 ohms. Frequency response is stated as ±0.18 dB between 20 Hz and 20 kHz, with channel separation greater than 72 dB at 10 kHz.

What to check before buying used
With this type of network amplifier, it is worth checking that the Wi-Fi module and Ethernet connection function correctly, along with the BluOS firmware update, which determines access to streaming services. The front colour display warrants a check (pixels, backlight), as does the responsiveness of the control knob and navigation buttons. Testing the USB port and speaker outputs helps confirm that the HybridDigital UcD power electronics are working normally on both channels.
