Description
The Copenhagen 1 is a modular hi-fi shelf from NorStone, designed as the starting point for an expandable audio unit. It forms the first level of a composition that can be gradually extended by adding other elements from the same range.
Its structure relies on a metal frame combined with a thick oak top, providing a stable base capable of supporting up to 50 kg. The design remains open at both the front and back, allowing air to circulate freely around the equipment placed on top and limiting the risk of heat build-up, an important point for equipment that heats up during prolonged use.
With a height of 23 cm and usable dimensions of 485 x 400 mm, it offers enough space for an amplifier, player or hi-fi source. Thanks to its modular design, it can be combined with other NorStone Copenhagen shelves (Base, 2 or 3) to build a complete unit, with the height and configuration suited to the installation.

What to check before buying used
The oak top deserves close inspection: scratches, ring marks or slight warping of the wood may appear over time. Also check the stability of the metal frame and the condition of the fixing screws or inserts, which are put under strain each time the unit is assembled or moved. If the idea is to add further Copenhagen elements, make sure the connecting points between modules are neither bent nor corroded, otherwise the stack would lose rigidity.
