NorStone Alva Stands

The Alva are a pair of speaker stands designed to hold bookshelf speakers. Their role is to place the speakers at a consistent listening height while providing a stable base, distinct from furniture or the floor.

The 60 cm height corresponds to a listening position where the tweeters end up close to ear level when seated, a criterion that directly affects the quality of the sound image produced by compact speakers. The structure combines MDF and toughened glass, a choice that combines the mass and inertia of MDF with the rigidity of glass to limit unwanted vibrations in the column. The top plate measures 145 × 200 mm, a surface area that determines compatibility with the base size of the speaker placed on it. The unit accepts a maximum load of 20 kg per stand, and the column can be weighted to further enhance stability.

These stands are intended for users of bookshelf speakers who wish to raise them properly in a living room or listening space, without resorting to furniture or a shelf. They are suited to a stereo setup where both listening height and the aesthetics of the audio furniture matter.

Two pairs of interchangeable base plates, in black and white, allow the finish of the stands to be adapted to the décor or to the associated speakers.
