Description
The NuPrime CDT-10 is a professional CD transport designed to extract and transmit the digital signal from a compact disc with minimal alteration. It is not a complete CD player with built-in analogue conversion intended for a conventional line output, but rather a digital source designed to be paired with an external DAC within a demanding Hi-Fi system.
Its decoder relies on DSP processing that handles all the error correction functions of the Red Book format, while being synchronised by a master clock governing the entire decoding system. This architecture aims to significantly reduce jitter, meaning the timing variations of the digital signal that can degrade the accuracy and stability of the sound once converted to analogue.
