Description

What to check before buying used
The quality of contact depends entirely on the condition of the connectors (banana plugs or spades): look for pins that are still shiny, with no trace of oxidation or forced clamping that would have deformed the thread. The silver/copper braid should remain tightly packed under its sheath, with no twist or pronounced kink that would betray storage coiled too tightly. Also check for the absence of any cut or crack in the round sheath along its full length, particularly at the points where it exits the connectors, the area most stressed in use.
