Description
The Oehlbach XXL Air Blue 5 is a speaker connection cable, designed to link an amplifier to a pair of speakers in a carefully assembled hi-fi system. It sits in the High End segment, intended for systems where the quality of the connection affects the final sound output.

What to check before buying used
The PVC sheath with air dielectric can flatten or crack if the cable has been wound too tightly or bent at a sharp angle during storage, which impairs the insulation between the two conductors. Examine the fork connectors: greenish oxidation or a loose crimp affects contact with the amplifier and speaker terminals. Also check that neither of the two strands of the 2 x 3 mm² cross-section shows any cuts or accidental stripping along their entire length.
