Description
The Oehlbach Mini Spike is a decoupling spike kit designed for small speakers. It consists of spikes and counter-spikes, together with washers, which are placed under the cabinet to separate it from the supporting surface.
This system acts as a resonance damper: it limits the transmission of vibrations and resonance frequencies generated by the driver to the piece of furniture or shelf on which the speaker rests. By reducing this mechanical coupling, the spikes help contain unwanted vibrations at the source rather than allowing them to spread into the room or towards neighbouring surfaces.

Also check the condition of the washers intended to protect the furniture, whose felt or rubber compresses or tears over time.
