Description
The Oehlbach Washer 20 are companion washers designed to be used with decoupling spikes on subwoofers or bass units. They are placed beneath the Oehlbach spikes in order to create a stable interface between the unit and the floor.
Their role is twofold: to prevent the transmission of unwanted resonances generated by the unit to the floor and surrounding furniture, and to protect the floor covering against marks or damage that metal spikes placed directly on it could cause.
These washers are intended for users of subwoofers or bass units fitted with decoupling spikes, who are looking to improve the stability of their setup while preserving their floor, whether it is parquet, tiling or another surface sensitive to pressure points.
What to check before buying used
When buying used, the surface condition of the washers should be checked: no cracks, deformation or excessive wear that would reduce their ability to dampen vibrations and protect the floor effectively. A damaged washer loses part of its decoupling and protective function.
