Optoma UHD60
Optoma UHD60 projector in Ultra HD 4K resolution, HDR compatible, for immersive home cinema in the living room.
Description
The Optoma UHD60 is a projector designed for home cinema, intended to display Ultra HD 4K resolution content directly in a living room or dedicated room. It is aimed at fans of films, series and video games who want to recreate a large-format image at home, close to the cinema experience.
Its Ultra HD 4K resolution represents more than eight million pixels on screen, four times more detail than a Full HD image. In practice, this results in sharper edges, finer textures and better-rendered depth of field, even when sitting relatively close to the projection screen. The UHD60 also includes HDR (high dynamic range) compatibility as well as HDCP 2.2 support, a protocol required to play certain protected 4K content from compatible sources.
In terms of brightness, the unit is rated at 3,000 lumens, a level that allows use in rooms that are not necessarily in complete darkness. A speaker is built into the housing, allowing you to enjoy sound without systematically resorting to an external audio setup, a welcome convenience for a simple and quick configuration.
This projector suits versatile domestic use: a living room turned into a cinema room for an evening, a room dedicated to multimedia, or a semi-permanent setup for fans of video games and 4K films. Its configuration is designed to be accessible, without requiring extensive additional equipment to get started.
What to check before buying used
The lamp hours already used remain the decisive factor: ask for the usage counter and favour an economy mode that preserves its lifespan. Also check the condition of the optical block (dust, halo, dead pixels) and the proper functioning of the focus and motorised zoom. A cold start test can help spot a noisy fan or a colour convergence fault.
