Description
The DR510 and DB510 are digital coaxial cables from Oyaide, designed to provide the link between the various digital components of an audio or home cinema installation. The DR510 comes with RCA-RCA connectors, while the DB510 features BNC-BNC termination, covering most of the configurations found on CD players, digital transports, converters or home cinema processors.
The cable is built around a silver conductor combined with Teflon insulation, two material choices that contribute to the quality of digital signal transmission. The connectors used are the Oyaide SLS, an in-house reference that the brand uses across part of its cable range.

What to check before buying used
On this type of digital link, the connector remains the sensitive point: the RCA socket on the DR510 or the BNC socket on the DB510 must maintain a firm, play-free insertion, otherwise digital synchronisation errors can occur. Also check the integrity of the shielding and sheath along the full length, as well as the continuity of the silver conductor, since a sharp bend can weaken the cable's core. The inherent rigidity of Teflon makes these cables poorly tolerant of repeated twisting, a point worth examining if the item has been handled frequently.
