Description
The Tunami Nigo is a connecting cable between amplifier and speakers from Oyaide, a Japanese brand specialising in high-end hi-fi cables and connectors. It joins the manufacturer's Tunami range with a construction dedicated to signal reproduction on speaker connections.
The cable is built around pure Furukawa PCOCC-A copper wiring, a material renowned for its crystalline purity and conductivity, combined with triple shielding designed to limit electromagnetic interference along the signal path. This design aims to preserve signal quality between the power stage and the speakers.
The Tunami Nigo is available in several lengths, from 2 to 5 metres, allowing it to be adapted to different installation configurations depending on the distance between the amplifier and the speakers.

What to check before buying used
On a connecting cable, attention should first be paid to the terminations: SRBN banana plugs or SPSL spades must be well crimped, free of oxidation and play within the socket, otherwise contact loss or unwanted noise may occur. The triple shielding should be checked visually along the entire length, looking for a split or crushed sheath that would expose the PCOCC-A copper to interference. A continuity check at both ends remains useful to rule out any internal fault not visible to the naked eye.
