Description
This pack brings together a Lunar 1 turntable, developed in partnership with Austrian manufacturer Pro-Ject, and Triangle's BR02 Connect active speakers. Together they form a complete, compact stereo system, designed for vinyl enthusiasts wanting an all-in-one solution that is coherent both aesthetically and functionally.
The BR02 Connect speakers feature a built-in MM phono preamplifier, allowing the turntable to be connected directly without any intermediate electronics. Wireless streaming is also possible thanks to the aptX HD module, ensuring audio transmission at 24-bit / 48 kHz. The class D amplifier delivers 2x50 Watts and drives a 13 cm Triangle cellulose pulp driver along with a 25 mm silk dome tweeter, for a linear frequency response.
Connectivity extends beyond vinyl and Bluetooth: a TV ARC input via HDMI cable enables home cinema use with synchronisation to the television remote thanks to CEC technology. A USB B port makes full use of the digital-to-analogue converter's capabilities up to 384 kHz / 32-bit and DSD 256, useful for office, gaming or monitoring use. Coaxial, optical and RCA inputs as well as a subwoofer output complete the set.
The speakers are supplied with a 3-metre link cable between the two units, and a radio-frequency remote control offers remote operation up to 15 metres away. Triangle states that this system is suited to rooms of 8 to 20 m².
This pack is aimed at those wishing to start or simplify a vinyl setup without multiplying separate components: amplifier, DAC and speakers are combined into a single set. It will suit everyday music listening as well as mixed use combining television, computer and smartphone.

What to check before buying used
On the turntable, check the condition of the cartridge and the belt tension, whose elasticity degrades over time even without heavy use. On the active speakers, test the built-in phono preamplifier and the HDMI ARC / USB / coaxial inputs to rule out any connectivity or circuit board issues. Also check for the absence of parasitic noise on the class D amplifier and the condition of the 13 cm driver's suspension, which can stiffen or crack with age.
