Pierre Etienne Leon Signature

Signature is a floorstanding speaker designed and manufactured in France by Pierre Etienne Leon. It is based on an original acoustic loading principle combining two distinct speakers within a single cabinet: one in the upper section, fitted with two drivers visible on the front baffle, the other internal, whose woofer dedicated to low frequencies is not visible.

This architecture, referred to as Double Cross-Flow and Auto Régulation Acoustique, combines two visible ways with a complementary internal loading. The internal woofer, responsible for reproducing low frequencies, uses a papyrus diaphragm, while the front-facing drivers employ laminated carbon fibre diaphragms, chosen for their lightness and rigidity. The tweeter features a fabric dome diaphragm with an impregnated coating and an optimised profile. The stated frequency response extends from 25 Hz to 25 kHz, with a sensitivity of 91 dB (2.83 V/1 m) and an impedance of 8 ohms, with a rated power handling of 130 watts.

The cabinetry is made from very high-density MDF, with panels of varying thickness depending on their position within the structure, veneered in real wood on both faces. This construction is intended to stiffen the cabinet, make it more inert and limit deformation over time. The model is offered in cherry or satin black finish.

With its dimensions (117 x 41 x 24 cm) and weight of 45 kg, Signature is intended for a setup dedicated to demanding music listening, in a living room or listening room where floor space and stability allow for a floorstanding speaker of this size. Its dual-speaker coupled loading principle is aimed at a listener attentive to the precision and harmonic richness of the reproduction.
