Description
The Damping Plate MKII is a damping plate designed by Harmonic Resolution Systems to limit the influence of airborne vibrations on audio and video electronic components. It is placed directly on top of the appliance's chassis, with the soft face oriented towards the casing.
This contact face is made from a specially formulated elastomer, tasked with absorbing vibrational energy before it reaches the internal circuits. The visible face, meanwhile, is machined from a block of aircraft-grade aluminium, with a black anodised finish. The greater the chassis surface covered by one or more plates, the more pronounced the effect on sound or visual rendering, allowing several plates to be combined depending on the size of the appliance being treated.

A DPX version is also available, thicker (33 mm), in the same widths and lengths, for configurations seeking enhanced anti-vibration treatment.

What to check before buying used
When buying used, it is worth checking the condition of the elastomer face, which may harden, crack or lose its grip over time, as well as the flatness and absence of deep scratches on the anodised aluminium face, which contributes to the plate's inertia and heat dissipation.
