Description
The Dual CS 329 is an entry-level, fully automatic belt-driven turntable. The tonearm swings, lowers and lifts itself automatically at the press of a button, which simplifies everyday use: simply place the record and start playback.
The belt drive ensures a speed fluctuation of less than ±0.15% (DIN standard), a level that limits audible wow and flutter. The turntable offers three rotation speeds, 33, 45 and 78 rpm, allowing playback of both LPs and 78 rpm records. The tonearm is fully suspended and fitted with a pre-installed Ortofon OM 5E cartridge, a model recognised for its balanced frequency response. The platter and chassis are made of MDF, with a wooden cabinet.

When buying used, it is worth checking the condition of the drive belt, which is prone to wear or hardening over time, as well as the correct operation of the automatic tonearm lift and lowering mechanism. The condition of the Ortofon OM 5E cartridge's stylus tip also deserves inspection, along with the platter's stability and the absence of play in the tonearm suspension.
