POWERGRIP YG2

The PowerGrip YG2 is a filtered mains distributor designed for audio and home cinema systems. It carries over the performance of the previous version while adopting a more compact format, designed for installations where available space is limited.

The unit can operate at high power levels, up to 3520 watts at 16 amps, allowing it to supply a full hi-fi system or a power-hungry home cinema setup. Its reduced dimensions, 80 mm in height and 185 mm in depth, make it easier to fit into a cabinet or a confined space.

The built-in filtering system detects and removes interference present on the power lines. This purification of the current is particularly beneficial to the internal clocks of digital devices, whose accuracy depends directly on the quality of the power supply: jitter and decoding errors are thereby reduced. The filtering also helps preserve the equipment by sparing it unnecessary electrical stress.

The YG2 offers a distribution of sockets by type of use. Two filtered sockets are dedicated to digital devices such as DACs, CD players or switch-mode amplifiers, in order to limit digital background noise. Two further sockets, with specific filtering, are reserved for analogue devices such as preamplifiers and turntables, to stabilise the incoming current and improve waveform definition as well as micro-dynamics. Two HIGH CURRENT sockets complete the unit, specially designed for power amplifiers, in order to limit the dynamic compression observed on untreated high-power amplification.

This distributor is aimed at hi-fi and home cinema enthusiasts with a limited installation space, who nonetheless wish to cleanly separate the power supply of their digital sources, analogue sources and power stage.
