The ProAc D30R is a floorstanding speaker that takes up, in a more compact format, the architecture of the D40R within the ProAc range. It combines a ribbon tweeter with a woofer fitted with a carbon cone, a technology also found on the ProAc Carbon 6.
The ribbon tweeter is designed to deliver a fine, detailed treble, capable of extending in frequency without becoming aggressive when listening. The carbon cone of the woofer, meanwhile, aims for better mechanical rigidity of the diaphragm, resulting in bass that the brand describes as articulate rather than heavy-handed.
The cabinetwork of the D30R benefits from the same level of care as that applied to the D40R, a point on which ProAc traditionally places emphasis across its entire floorstanding range.
