Description
The Response D2 sits at the top of ProAc's range of bookshelf speakers. It is aimed at those seeking a small speaker capable of delivering musicality close to that of the manufacturer's larger models, without the space constraints of a floorstanding speaker.
It uses the mid-bass driver from the D15, specifically reworked for this model. Its port, placed at the front of the cabinet, simplifies room placement: unlike speakers with rear ports, the D2 copes better with being installed close to a wall, making it easier to integrate into spaces where depth is limited.
Sonically, the Response D2 is presented as close to the D15 in terms of finesse and musicality, while being faster and more open. This characteristic makes it a speaker geared towards precise, dynamic listening, rather than solely the pursuit of deep bass or high volume levels.
