Description
The Pro-Ject CD Box RS2 Transport is a high-end CD player intended for playing commercial discs, with no built-in digital-to-analogue conversion for direct use: its connectivity is entirely analogue, meaning it must be paired with an external DAC for listening.
Its metal casing rests on rubber feet and has been designed to remain stable in the face of temperature changes, ensuring constant alignment of the internal components. An exclusive anti-vibration system isolates the reading mechanism from external interference. Playback itself is handled by a StreamUnlimited CD Pro 8 assembly paired with a Blue Tiger CD-84 servo board, capable of reading commercial CDs, burned CDs (CD-R, CD-RW) as well as hybrid SACDs.
