Description
The Q3010i is a compact two-way bookshelf speaker, designed to take up little space while covering a wide frequency range. It combines a 10 cm bass-midrange driver and a 22 mm soft dome tweeter in a bass-reflex cabinet with a small internal volume.
Its frequency response extends from 65 Hz to 30 kHz, with a crossover frequency set at 2.6 kHz between the two drivers. The sensitivity of 86 dB for 2.83 V at 1 m, combined with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms (4 ohms minimum), requires an amplifier capable of delivering sufficient current without being oversized: the recommended amplification range is between 15 and 75 W. The internal volume of 4 litres explains the compact format of the speaker, with dimensions of 150 x 253 x 252 mm for a weight of 3 kg per unit.
This type of speaker is intended for use in a small space, on a piece of furniture or on stands, whether for stereo music listening or to complement a home cinema system as front speakers or satellites.

What to check before buying used
The suspensions of the 10 cm driver should remain supple and free of cracks, as sagging or hardening of the material indicates advanced ageing. Also check the condition of the tweeter dome, particularly prone to denting from the slightest contact. Finally, examine the cabinet and bass-reflex ports: impact marks, veneer lifting or cracks at the corners can affect both the appearance and the acoustic behaviour of the cabinet.
