Q Acoustics Q3030i

The Q3030i is a compact bookshelf-type speaker, designed with a 2-way bass-reflex architecture. It carries over certain elements developed for the 3050i model, positioned higher in the range, notably its oversized midrange-woofer driver. This compact format is suited to a stereo or home cinema installation where floor space is limited, the speaker being intended to sit on a stand or shelf rather than on the floor.

The 16.5 cm midrange-woofer uses an impregnated and coated paper cone, paired with a motor optimised to deliver a pronounced bass presence despite the bookshelf format. The accompanying 22 mm tweeter is mounted in a decoupled fashion: it is mechanically isolated from the vibrations generated by the midrange-woofer, which limits interference between the two drivers and aims for cleaner treble reproduction. The crossover frequency between the two drivers is set at 2.4 kHz.

In terms of stated performance, the frequency response spans 46 Hz to 30 kHz (+/-3 dB, -6 dB), with a sensitivity of 88 dB and an average impedance of 6 ohms (4 ohms minimum). The Q3030i is compatible with stereo amplifiers delivering 25 to 75 W, or AV receivers used in 2-channel mode with a power of 50 to 145 W. The usable cabinet volume is 12.5 litres.
