Description
The QED Reference Analogue XLR 40 is a balanced modulation cable fitted with XLR connectors, designed to connect audio equipment with balanced outputs and inputs, such as preamplifiers, amplifiers or professional and hi-fi sources.
Its construction is based on 99.999% oxygen-free copper conductors that are silver-plated, with a cross-section of 0.25 mm² per conductor: this silver plating promotes good signal conduction across the entire audio spectrum. The tri-conductor technology combined with an OFC copper braided shield aims to limit electromagnetic interference, an important point for preserving signal integrity on balanced connections. The dissipation factor at 10 kHz of 0.0001 and a parallel capacitance of 35 pF reflect a cable designed to minimise losses as the signal passes through. The polyethylene foam insulation and a nominal diameter of 8 mm complete the cable's structure, terminated with gold-plated Neutrik connectors.
