Description
The QED Supremus is a speaker cable designed to connect an amplifier to the loudspeakers of a hi-fi installation. Conceived as a fully-fledged link in the audio chain, it targets systems where the quality of the connection between the electronics and the speakers influences the final sound rendering.
The conductor is made of OFC copper, a material recognised for its purity and low electrical resistance. The cable incorporates ceramic insulation as well as AirCore technology, two elements that help limit losses and interference on the signal line. The banana connectors are Rhodium-plated, a metal valued for its resistance to oxidation and the stability of the electrical contact over time.

What to check before buying used
On a cable this long, check the integrity of both conductors along their full length: a folded or crushed sheath can affect the shielding and the electrical behaviour of the line. Examine the Rhodium finish of the banana connectors, which is sensitive to micro-scratches and oxidation from repeated handling, as well as the mechanical grip of the plugs on the conductor. A continuity test on both channels will detect an internal break not visible to the naked eye.
