Roksan Attessa

The Attessa is a stereo integrated amplifier from Roksan, designed to directly drive a pair of speakers without a separate power amplifier. It features a built-in phono stage, allowing a turntable to be connected directly without an external preamplifier, as well as a high-performance DAC from the brand for digital sources.

The Class AB power stage delivers 2x 80 W into 8 Ohms. The frequency response spans from 5 kHz to 50 kHz, with total harmonic distortion (THD + N) below 0.02%, a gain of 29 dB, channel separation above 75 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio above 104 dB: figures that reflect clean sound reproduction and good dynamic control.

Connectivity includes two RCA stereo line inputs, one RCA stereo phono input, two coaxial digital inputs and two optical digital inputs, as well as a preout/sub output and an amplified headphone output via 3.5 mm jack. The unit also integrates Bluetooth and can be controlled via the MaestroUnite app, in addition to the supplied remote control and the single control wheel on the front panel.

This amplifier is aimed at enthusiasts wanting a compact system capable of connecting a turntable as well as a television, games console, CD player or telephone, without multiplying the number of boxes. When buying used, it is worth checking the proper operation of the single control wheel, which centralises source selection, preset stations and volume control: unusual play or clicking may indicate wear. It is also useful to test each input, particularly the built-in phono stage and the coaxial and optical digital inputs, as well as the amplified headphone output, to ensure there is no crackling or loose connection.

A BluOS streamer network card was offered as an option on this model, to be distinguished from the natively connected version of the Roksan range, which includes this function as standard.
