Roksan Caspian 4G Streaming

The Caspian 4G is a connected integrated amplifier from Roksan, designed to centralise music listening in a stereo hi-fi system. It combines a class AB amplification section with an internal DAC, named Rapture, responsible for converting digital sources, along with a built-in network streaming module compatible with BluOS. It can therefore replace a preamplifier, a power amplifier and a network player all at once in an installation.

Its stated power output is 2x 105W into 8 ohms, enough to drive speakers of typical sensitivity without the need for an external amplifier. Total harmonic distortion plus noise is below 0.02%, a low figure reflecting clean signal reproduction. A signal-to-noise ratio above 108dB and channel separation above 85dB point to a very quiet background and good stereo imaging, while the frequency response covers the entire audible spectrum, from 20Hz to 20kHz.

Connectivity is extensive: two RCA line inputs, two XLR inputs, one RCA phono input compatible with MM and MC cartridges, two coaxial and two optical digital inputs, an HDMI eARC connector and an Ethernet port for wired streaming. On the output side, there is an RCA preOut, an XLR preOut and a subwoofer output. The unit handles multiroom streaming via BluOS and AirPlay 2, Bluetooth with aptX, SBC and AAC codecs, as well as Spotify Connect, Deezer, Qobuz and Tidal services, all controlled from the MaestroUnite app.

This model is aimed at enthusiasts wishing to simplify a stereo setup while retaining a phono input for a turntable and full digital connectivity for connecting a television, an external network player or a Bluetooth source. Its versatile connections and multiroom integration make it a suitable foundation for a living room fitted with current-hungry speakers.
