Description
The Rose RA280 is a stereo integrated amplifier designed to drive a pair of speakers directly without an additional power stage. It is built on a dual-mono architecture, with each channel having its own amplification circuit, combined with a class AD design that merges class A and class D stages within a single unit.
Its rated power reaches 2 x 250 W into 4 and 8 ohms, a figure that remains stable across both impedances, indicating a power supply capable of maintaining its output voltage regardless of the load presented by the speakers. What to check before buying used
On this dual-mono integrated amplifier, check that both channels remain well balanced at high power, as any discrepancy could indicate uneven ageing of components. Systematically test the MM phono input and the balanced XLR input, as well as the operation of the volume control, to rule out any crackling or faulty contact.
