Description
The Sonoro Maestro is an all-in-one connected amplifier that brings several sources together in a single unit: built-in CD player, phono input for turntable, DAB+/FM tuner, internet radio and TV connection. It allows you to listen to both physical media and music streaming services, without the need for multiple separate devices.
The amplification relies on Hypex class D technology delivering 2 x 170 watts at 4 ohms or 2 x 100 watts at 8 ohms at 0.1% distortion, sufficient power reserve to drive external speakers with an impedance between 4 and 16 ohms. Wireless transmission is based on Bluetooth A2DP/AVRCP, with the Qualcomm aptX variant for improved audio quality when streaming. The CD player supports CD, CD-R, CD-RW formats as well as MP3 and WMA CDs, and the connectivity includes optical and coaxial digital inputs, a gold-plated RCA line input, a 3.5 mm jack AUX input, an RCA subwoofer output and a headphone jack. The 2.8-inch colour TFT screen with automatic dimming adjusts its brightness according to ambient lighting.

What to check before buying used
The CD player's optical unit is worth checking: verify that the tray opens and closes smoothly and that CD playback, including MP3/WMA format, runs without skipping or freezing. Also test the MM phono input with a turntable to confirm there is no hum or distortion, and check that the TFT screen and its automatic dimming function work properly. The metal control buttons on the front panel should be checked for any play or faulty contact.
