The Sonoro Prestige is an all-in-one music system that combines radio reception, CD playback and wireless connectivity in a single unit. It allows you to listen to DAB+ and FM digital radio, more than 25,000 Internet radio stations, podcasts, as well as CDs thanks to its slot-loading player. It can be controlled directly on the device, with the supplied infrared remote control, or via the OKTIV app from a smartphone.
The audio system is built around two coaxial drivers combining tweeter and midrange, complemented by a 4-inch subwoofer housed in a bass-reflex tube, delivering stereo sound with present bass. A digital signal processor (DSP) processes the signal, and an equaliser allows separate adjustment of bass and treble according to listening preference. Four programmable station buttons on the device offer quick access to stored stations or playlists, with up to 30 presets per reception mode and dedicated slots for Spotify, Amazon Music and Deezer. Bluetooth connectivity incorporates Qualcomm aptX technology for bidirectional wireless audio transmission, compatible with Bluetooth headphones. The device also features a 3.5 mm auxiliary jack input, an RCA input, an optical digital input, an RCA output, a headphone jack and a USB port for charging. A 2.8-inch colour TFT screen with automatic dimming and polarising filter displays playback information, and alarm, snooze and sleep-timer functions adjustable to the minute round out the feature set.
This system is aimed at those who want to centralise several music sources, radio, CD, streaming, TV via the optical or RCA input, in a single device, without multiplying separate equipment. Its compact format and simple handling make it suitable for use in a living room, bedroom or living space, for everyday listening to music, podcasts or audiobooks.

What to check before buying used
The slot-loading CD player deserves particular attention: check that it loads, plays and ejects a disc correctly, including a CD-R or CD-RW, as this type of mechanism is more prone to wear than conventional trays. Also test DAB+/FM reception with the supplied aerial, as well as the Wi-Fi connection for Internet radio and streaming, whose proper functioning depends on the supported network encryption (WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPS). Finally, check the condition of the TFT screen and the operation of the programmable station buttons, which are the most frequently used elements on a daily basis.
