The Sonos Arc Ultra is a home cinema soundbar designed for Dolby Atmos sound reproduction. It integrates 14 speakers arranged to cover treble, midrange and bass, in a configuration advertised as 9.1.4 channels. Its slim silhouette allows it to be wall-mounted or placed on a piece of furniture in front of a television.
Trueplay calibration adapts the sound rendering to the acoustics of the room where the speaker is installed, including for the upward-firing channels intended to recreate Dolby Atmos height effects. The fabric grille covering the front should be examined for stains, discolouration or deformation, and the HDMI eARC port checked to ensure a reliable connection to the television.
