Description
The Sonos Era 100 Pro is an active speaker sold in pairs, designed for professional installations in commercial or residential spaces. Unlike consumer Sonos speakers, this model incorporates PoE+ compatibility and a Zones feature intended for bespoke deployments.
Power over Ethernet (PoE) allows power and data to be carried over a single network cable, avoiding the need to run dedicated electrical wiring to each speaker location. The Zones feature allows several speakers to be grouped so that they operate in sync, with differentiated content playback according to space and volume management by zone rather than speaker by speaker.
Each speaker features a mid-woofer driver, angled tweeters to deliver stereo sound, waveguides designed to widen the soundstage, and three Class D digital amplifiers calibrated for the speaker's acoustic architecture. It supports WiFi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2 and Sonos multiroom, a touch interface, voice control via Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Sonos Voice, as well as stereo pairing and use as a rear channel.
This model is aimed at professionals and integrators fitting out shops, offices or residences with a multiroom audio solution requiring centralised zone-based management and simplified installation thanks to PoE+, with mounting systems sold separately.
