Description
The Sonos Era 300 is a wireless connected speaker designed to project sound across multiple directions rather than a simple forward projection. It is controlled via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, integrates into an AirPlay 2 and Sonos multiroom system, and can receive an external source such as a turntable via an auxiliary cable and the Sonos 3.5 mm Jack input adapter.
Its architecture is built around two midrange/woofer drivers, four tweeters and six Class D amplifiers, arranged to reproduce frequencies across several axes rather than in a single direction. Waveguides widen the perceived soundstage during listening. The speaker is compatible with the Dolby Atmos spatial audio format and can be paired with a second Era 300 as well as a Sonos Arc to form a surround configuration, or used alone in a stereo pair. TruePlay calibration allows the sound to be adjusted to the listening room. Control is via the Sonos app, touch controls, or voice through Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa or Sonos Voice.
This model is aimed at those who want a connected speaker capable of going beyond simple stereo playback, whether used standalone or as part of a Sonos home cinema system for surround sound and Dolby Atmos.
