Description
Aster is a 2-way speaker from Sonus faber designed for outdoor installation, on a terrace, patio or in a garden. Its slim, streamlined shape makes it easy to integrate into these spaces, while its IP65 certification allows it to withstand rain, snow, dust and sun exposure.
The speaker features a 13 cm midrange/woofer, a 25 mm tweeter and a passive radiator, positioned symmetrically to optimise bass performance. The frequency response ranges from 60 Hz to 32 kHz, with a sensitivity of 88 dB and an impedance of 6 ohms; maximum sound level reaches 100 dBA. On the amplification side, Aster accepts a rated power of 100 W (125 W peak) and is driven by an amplifier of 10 to 40 W. The supplied aluminium mounting bracket uses a bayonet system for quick fitting, and a spring mechanism allows tool-free adjustable tilt of 15 degrees, with installation possible horizontally or vertically.

What to check before buying used
The spring mechanism that allows tilt adjustment should be tested to check that it holds the chosen position securely without play or creaking. The aluminium mounting bracket and bayonet fixing system should be examined to ensure there is no corrosion or deformation, which is common on equipment left outdoors for extended periods.
