Description
The PC562 is a coaxial 2-way in-ceiling speaker intended for ceiling installation, part of Sonus faber's Palladio range. Its technical architecture is inspired by that of the Sonetto range, allowing it to be paired with a set of Sonetto III, V or VIII used as front speakers, particularly in an Atmos Surround configuration.
The 29 mm DAD tweeter is paired with a 165 mm midwoofer in a coaxial infinite baffle design, with a Paracross topology crossover set at 3000 Hz. The frequency response extends from 50 to 25,000 Hz for a sensitivity of 90 dB, under a nominal impedance of 4 Ω, with a dispersion angle of ± 60° both horizontally and vertically at 1 kHz. It accepts an amplification power of between 40 and 200 W without clipping.

What to check before buying used
On an in-ceiling speaker such as the PC562, check the condition of the magnetic metal grille and how securely it holds onto the frame, as the fixings can loosen over time or when removed. Also check that the tweeter and midwoofer have not suffered any impact or water ingress, particularly if the speaker came from a suspended ceiling or covered outdoor installation. Finally, make sure the outer frame and cut-out show no deformation that could complicate reinstallation.
