Sonus faber PL563

The PL563 is a coaxial 2-way in-wall speaker from Sonus Faber, designed to be fitted directly into a partition wall. It belongs to the Palladio range, whose design and technical solutions draw on the brand's Sonetto series.

Vertical mounting allows it to be used as a left or right channel, while horizontal mounting suits it to the centre channel: a single reference thus covers all three front positions of a home cinema system. The silk dome tweeter is based on DAD (Damped Apex Dome) technology, with a diameter of 29 mm, combined with a Paracross filter whose crossover frequency sits at 1650 Hz, which organises the frequency distribution between the tweeter and the two 165 mm midrange transducers. With a sensitivity of 92 dB and a nominal impedance of 4 Ω, it accepts an amplification power of between 40 and 250 W without clipping. The frequency response extends from 50 to 25,000 Hz, and the dispersion angle at -6 dB reaches ±45° horizontally and ±60° vertically.

It is aimed at those wishing to integrate a home cinema system without visible speakers, by concealing the left, right and centre channels within the walls. The borderless magnetic metal grille, ready to be painted, allows it to blend into the interior decor once installed.
