The Sonetto I G2 is a 2-way bass-reflex bookshelf speaker from the second generation of Sonus faber's Sonetto collection. It incorporates acoustic solutions originally developed for the high-end Suprema system, transposed here into a compact format intended for domestic listening.
The 12.7 cm mid-woofer uses a pulp cone with a Camellia pattern, paired with an internal cork chamber that exploits the acoustic properties of this material to refine mid-high frequency resolution. The 28 mm DAD silk dome tweeter, coupled with a crossover frequency of 2100 Hz, takes over for the treble. With a sensitivity of 86 dB and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, the speaker accepts a recommended amplification power of between 30 and 150 W, and its frequency response extends from 52 Hz to 40 kHz (+/- 3 dB). The wooden cabinet features a new concrete base designed to improve stability and vibration management, while the laminated event front and natural wood finish reflect the brand's craftsmanship.
