Description
Andrea Amati is regarded as the founder of the Cremonese school of lutherie: it was he who established the construction rules, shapes and proportions still applied today to stringed instruments. In tribute to this heritage, the Amati Tradition line brings together original concepts and architectural choices drawn from this tradition. Within the Hommage Tradition collection, the Amati model becomes the new flagship floorstanding speaker of the Sonus faber catalogue, positioned just behind Il Cremonese, Lilium and Aida, from which it borrows several technical solutions and patents.
In terms of specifications, this 3-way floorstanding speaker offers a frequency response of 40 Hz to 35,000 Hz, a sensitivity of 89 dB SPL (2.83 V/1 m) and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. The recommended amplification power ranges from 50 W to 350 W, with crossover points set at 250 Hz and 2500 Hz.
The equipment includes:
- a DAD H28 XTR3-04 tweeter, 28 mm in diameter;
- two M15 XTR-08 midrange drivers of 150 mm, fitted with a neodymium magnet system;
