Description
The SR-X1 is an open-back electrostatic headphone from Stax, fitted with a medium-sized circular push-pull driver and an open rear enclosure. It uses a high-precision etched fixed electrode and carries on the aesthetic legacy of the SR-1 and SR-X models while incorporating a newer driver unit design.
The stated frequency range extends from 7 Hz to 41,000 Hz, with a capacitance of 110pF and an impedance of 145kΩ measured at 10kHz over 2.5 m of cable. Sound pressure sensitivity reaches 101 dB for 100 Vr.ms at 1 kHz, under a bias voltage of DC580V, values characteristic of electrostatic operation. What to check before buying used
