The Roma 96DC+ is a valve integrated amplifier from Synthesis, an Italian manufacturer specialising in tube electronics. It operates in pure Class A and stands out for its all-in-one character: it features both a phono stage and a digital converter, making it a central piece capable of connecting a turntable and a digital source directly to a pair of speakers.

What to check before buying used
The EL34 and ECC82 tubes wear with operating hours: it is worth checking their original condition, the absence of microphonics and the availability of compatible replacement references. On a pure Class A design, the coupling and filtering capacitors age faster due to constant heat, which can result in background hum or drift of the bias point. It is also advisable to test the MM phono stage and the AK4495SEQ DAC to rule out any hiss, crackling or digital malfunction before purchase.
