Description
The Stirling III LZ Special Edition is a 2-way floorstanding speaker from Tannoy, fitted with a Dual Concentric driver combining bass and treble on a single axis. This type of coaxial driver aims for a particular spatial coherence, whereby the sound appears to emanate from a single point rather than two separate sources.
The woofer measures 250 mm with a paper pulp cone and a double impregnated fabric surround, paired with a 52 mm round-wire voice coil; the tweeter is a 52 mm dome in aluminium-magnesium alloy with a mylar surround.
