TEAC CRH-101

The TEAC CR-H101 is a compact stereo micro system designed for listeners who primarily enjoy music from a computer or smartphone. It brings together an amplifier, a CD player, an FM tuner and wireless connectivity in a single unit, offering a complete listening solution without the need for multiple separate components.

Amplification is based on a Class D architecture delivering 2x26W of power, a choice that favours compactness and energy efficiency. The Burr Brown PCM1796 digital-to-analogue converter, capable of processing 24-bit/192kHz streams, decodes music files connected via the USB port as well as signals from the CD player, the FM RDS tuner and the Bluetooth receiver, the latter supporting the Apt-X and AAC codecs for improved wireless transmission quality.

The built-in slot-in CD player reads compressed MP3 and WMA formats in addition to standard audio CDs. The FM RDS tuner can store up to 20 stations, while the HR-Loudness function, based on DSP processing, adjusts the sound output according to listening level. A clock with programmable timer completes the package, allowing automatic switch-on or switch-off to be scheduled on the tuner or CD player.
