Description
The TN-400BT-X is a belt-drive turntable from TEAC, designed to play records without necessarily requiring an amplifier fitted with a phono input. Thanks to its built-in MM-type phono preamp, it can be connected directly to any amplifier or active system via its switchable phono/line RCA output. It also incorporates a Bluetooth transmitter, allowing the signal to be sent wirelessly to a Bluetooth speaker or headphones, offering great installation freedom within a room.
The die-cast aluminium platter, 30 cm in diameter, is driven by a DC motor paired with a rubber belt, a combination that promotes stable and steady rotation of the record. The S-shaped aluminium tonearm is statically balanced with a full counterweight and anti-skating adjustment, allowing precise adjustment of stylus tracking force over a range of 0 to 5.0 g. The universal headshell allows the cartridge to be replaced without having to remove it from the tonearm, and the terminal contacts are gold-plated to limit oxidation and preserve the fidelity of phono signal transmission. The NJM8080 operational amplifier used in the phono stage reproduces the signal from the cartridge with reduced distortion and loss, for a signal-to-noise ratio of 67 dB or better. On the wireless side, the dual-mode Bluetooth 5.2 module supports Qualcomm aptX, aptX Adaptive and SBC codecs, ensuring broad compatibility with Bluetooth audio devices on the market.
