Description
The TOT MINI is a mains conditioner from Torus Power, the entry-level model in the manufacturer's range. It is designed to filter the electrical supply of an audio system by way of three outlets and a 3 Amp capacity, with the aim of cleaning up the current feeding hi-fi electronics.
At the heart of the unit is a high-quality toroidal transformer, a technology found in the power supply circuits of several high-end electronics, notably from brands such as Krell, McIntosh or Mark Levinson. This choice of component aims for mains filtration widely recognised within the high-fidelity world. It should be noted, however, that the TOT MINI does not include surge protection: this function is only available as an option.

What to check before buying used
Two options originally existed for this model: an aluminium front panel, available in black or silver finish, and a surge suppression module (SMSS), absent from the base product. When buying second-hand, it is worth checking whether these options, if advertised, are actually present, as well as the condition of the toroidal transformer and mains outlets, elements sensitive to wear and repeated heating on this type of unit.
