Description
The Borea BR10 is a 3-way floorstanding speaker from Triangle, positioned as the most accomplished model in the Borea range. It combines a tweeter, a midrange driver and two separate woofers to cover the full sound spectrum, whether in a stereo Hi-Fi setup or a home cinema configuration.
The 3-way construction is built around a 25 mm EFS fabric dome tweeter, a 16 cm midrange driver with a natural cellulose pulp cone, and two 21 cm woofers with fibreglass cones paired with a powerful motor system. This large-format architecture extends the stated frequency response from 30 Hz to 22 kHz (± 3 dB) and allows low-frequency reproduction with high power handling. The 92 dB / W / m sensitivity makes it easy to pair with amplifiers of varying power outputs, while the 200 W RMS power handling and an impedance ranging from 3 Ω to 8 Ω allow for demanding use. The double terminal panel enables bi-wiring or bi-amping thanks to a separate crossover system.

What to check before buying used
Check the flexibility of the suspensions on both woofers: sagging or torn foam surrounds indicate a unit stored in a humid environment. Also inspect the cellulose pulp midrange cone, which is prone to fingermarks and dents, as well as the tweeter's fabric dome. Finally, check the cabinet (corners, veneer, plinth) and that the double terminal panel is properly tightened, to rule out any looseness or crackling when bi-wiring.
